Unintended pregnancy

Women with an unplanned pregnancy who wish advice about considering abortion may seek help from their GP, Highland Sexual Health or may self-refer to the Social Gynaecology service:

It is best to seek help as soon as is practical, as the staff within the Social Gynaecology clinic would like to see you early in your pregnancy – as soon as six weeks since your last period. If you are experiencing delays in discussing your situation, it may be best to use this self-referral service

How to refer – we accept self-referrals and referrals from health professionals by:

GP Movement and Activity Programme at Craig MacLean Leisure Centre

The leisure centre is able to offer a free 7 session pass along with an introduction to everything the leisure facility has to offer which can benefit your health and wellbeing.

Please follow this link: https://surveys.highlifehighland.com/s3/GP-Movement-Activity-Programme to enrol in the programme. The Leisure Centre will then arrange the following:

  •  You will be contacted and an appointment will be made to have a tour of the building, gym induction (if interested in using the gym) and a conversation about your interests
  •  Following or during the appointment detailed above the leisure centre receptionist (or other approved team member) will issue you with a Highlife membership card and will apply the 7 Session Pass
  •  The team member(s) will advise you of the dates that the pass is valid for (8 weeks from the start date).
